Hamzah Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 KOs) will attend Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford’s September 13 Undisputed Super Middleweight Title fight, with a view to facing the winner.

Sheeraz secured a fifth-round knockout win over Edgar Berlanga in July on his debut at 168 to win the WBC Interim Super Middleweight Title. It was the perfect response following his controversial draw with Carlos Adames in his final fight at 160, with many believing he had lost that fight. Some feel Sheeraz should face the other leading contenders at 168 pounds before facing the winner of Canelo vs. Crawford. Christian Mbilli, Diego Pacheco, Osleys Iglesias and Jose Armando Resendiz are credible names. However, Sheeraz only has his eyes on the winner of Canelo-Crawford.

“I’ll be there. I’ll be ringside. I’ll be keeping a very keen, keen eye on it. As a fan, as somebody that could potentially face them. So, yeah, I’ll be there and I’ll be watching closely,” Hamzah Sheeraz said

Other Contenders

And yet, Chris Eubank Jr. has declared his intention to “despatch” Conor Benn for a second time, with the goal of challenging the winner of Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford.

The rematch between the two British rivals is now officially set for November. In their first clash in April, Eubank was required to make 160 pounds and a 0-pound rehydration limit. While he missed weight, Eubank won by a unanimous decision. He believes that a dominant performance in the rematch earn him a shot at the undisputed super middleweight champion in 2026.

“It’s a big fight and it’s a fight that I’m looking closely at because after I despatch Conor Benn for the second time either one of those two men, Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, I would love to share the ring with in 2026. I’m here to fight the big names. I want the biggest fights. I want the fights that the fans want to see and Canelo Alvarez is the name in the sport right now. If Crawford wins he’s the name in the sport and I would want to take him on so I’ll be watching closely,” Eubank said
