Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford have more than just the belts to think about this weekend.
The pair are set to square off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13, with the undisputed super middleweight titles on the line.
Alongside that, both fighters will have a knockout bonus to fight for, part of Turki Alalshikh’s push to make bouts more exciting.
Big fights like this sometimes fail to live up to expectations because of what is at stake, though there are always exceptions.
This week brings another layer of motivation, adding even more reward for whoever comes out on top.
Even though Canelo Alvarez is set to make more money than Terence Crawford, both fighters are in for massive paydays.
Dana White recently shared that the event has generated a huge gate at Allegiant Stadium, cementing its place in boxing history.

As fight week kicked off, it was announced that the winner will receive a one-of-a-kind belt to add to their collection.
The Ring Magazine has created a special belt valued at $188,000 that will be awarded to the winner. It has been on display in Las Vegas throughout fight week.
Alongside the unique belt from The Ring, the IBF has also lined up something for whoever comes out on top this weekend.
The IBF recently held a title eliminator for their super middleweight belt, which Osleys Iglesias won to continue his rise through the ranks.
At 27 years old, Iglesias extended his record to 14-0 with 13 knockouts, finishing Vladimir Shishkin in the eighth round back on September 4.
Given the IBF’s reputation for strict enforcement of mandatories, it would not be surprising if either Alvarez or Crawford decided to vacate rather than face Iglesias, especially if bigger matchups are available elsewhere.
