William Zepeda will be clashing with Tevin Farmer in a lightweight rematch on Saturday night. Their fight would top a Golden Boy card on DAZN from Cancun, Mexico. The pair held their final presser, as they had plenty to say to one another prior to their fight.

William Zepeda (32-0, 27 KOs) survived a fourth-round knockdown in his first bout with Farmer. He eventually was declared the winner in a narrow polarizing 10-round verdict at the Riyadh Season.

“This is very exciting for me. I’ve finally found somebody who will go toe to toe with me. I really had to look at chances and opportunities, and I’m now really excited to be able to show not only the same explosive ‘Camaron’ Zepeda, but someone that’s willing to work hard to take the win on March 29. I want to make sure I take the win that evening.

“It was a very tough test. It was 10 rounds of war, and I learned that I need to step up and it’s a lesson for me and a lesson for everybody that we’re not supposed to just let things go. I took that lesson, and I’m going to implement it on Saturday,” said Zepeda during the presser.

Elsewhere, a former IBF super featherweight champion, Farmer (33-7-1, 1 NC) eyes to end the first two-bout losing streak of his professional career after dropping back-to-back verdicts against Raymond Muratalla as well as Zepeda in 2024. Before that, the 34-year-old boxer from Philadelphia attained three successive matches emerging the winner. He, thus, fruitfully rebound from his IBF title defeat to Diaz in 2020.

“Everyone forgets how I got my world title the first time. I went to the wolf’s den. I went to Australia and defeated Billy Dib to get my world title. I’m used to this. My whole career, I’ve been the underdog. I’ve never had a big promoter behind me so I had to get it the hard way and growing up in Philly is the wolf’s den itself and I was the wolf,” said Farmer during their pre-fight interview.
