Zhilei Zhang Vs Martin Bakole?

Since that bout there’s not a lot of fighters lining up for fight  Zhilei Zhang but one surprise opponent is eager for the chance to fight him. That guy is Congolese slugger Martin Bakole. The lesser known slugger fought the top American heavyweight prospect in Jared Anderson and shocked the world by giving him a beating throughout the fight. Bakole completely overwhelmed the young American and the fight was eventually stopped in the 5th round. That performance put Bakole on the map. The plan was for Anderson to look impress and start getting some buzz for a title shot. But that didn’t happen and now he has to go back to the drawing board.

Is Bakole ready for the challenge?

When asked about a possible match up with the Chinese contender, Bakole did not hold back his thoughts about the possible bout.

“I would love to fight big Zhang in December in China,” Bakole said. “I heard His Excellency wanted to make the fight in China so that’s the fight I’m looking for. If that happens I’ll be so happy.

“I’m ready to fight big Zhang in China before his fans. I always fight outside, I went to America and stopped Anderson, I went to Paris and beat Tony Yoka so I would love to go to China and beat Zhang in front of his fans, that’s a fight I’d love and I’m looking forward to it.”

Boxing fans would love to see this bout happen before the end of the year. His excellency Turki Alalshikh has expressed interest in making the fight happen so there’s a really good chance that we can see these titans go to war with each before the year end.
