Alijah Arenas, the son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, is in a very bad spot according to all reports following a serious accident earlier today. And now his family needs help.

Earlier today, Arenas nearly lost his life after a reported Tesla Cybertruck crash at around 5 a.m. which caused a fire that he only narrowly escaped from with the help of some bystanders.

Arenas was taken to the hospital and his condition is looking grim. He had to enter a medically-induced coma and it's not clear when he'll wake up

Taking to Instagram a short while ago, Arenas' mother Laura Govan bluntly said "I need all your (expletive) prayers" right now as she waits for him to recover.

Arenas is one of the top basketball prospects in the 2025 recruiting class and was planning on joining the USC Trojans soon.

Following the accident, USC head basketball coach Eric Musselman released a statement offering his thoughts and prayers to Alijah and the Arenas family.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Alijah and his family following this morning's accident. Please keep him, his teammates and friends, and the entire Arenas family in your prayers."

247Sports rates Arenas as the No. 7 overall prospect and the No. 1 shooting guard in the nation. His father was a three-time All-Star who played in the NBA for over a decade.

The driver of the vehicle was an unidentified 18-year-old who was taken to the hospital with injuries of their own. They are reportedly in "stable" condition as of writing.

We hope both of them make a full recovery.
