With the NCAA Tournament in full swing, the NBA draft is just a few months away. Top prospects like Darryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer have consistently been at the top of most mock drafts, but one NBA general manager reportedly sees neither of those players as a top-three pick.

ESPN’s Marc J. Spears reported on Monday that an anonymous GM he spoke too has BYU’s AJ Dybantsa at No. 1, UNC’s Caleb Wilson at No. 2 and Arkansas’s Darius Acuff Jr. at No. 3.

While Peterson has looked NBA-ready for the Jayhawks, he’s battled severe cramps and other health issues all season. some have voiced their concerns about potentially taking Peterson with the first pick, given his availability troubles.

As for Boozer, he’s been arguably the best player in college basketball this season. He’s led the Blue Devils to a 34-2 record and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

As for why he may not be drafted first, some have noted that his ceiling may not be as high as prospects like Dybantsa and Wilson.

Ultimately, the 2026 draft class appears to be extremely deep, the draft order will just be a matter of team fit and needs.
