Cal guard Justin Pippen, Scottie Pippen's son, enters transfer portal

California Golden Bears guard Justin Pippen came into his own in 2025.

A 6-foot-3, 180-pound sophomore from Los Angeles, California, Pippen signed with Michigan coming out of high school as a four-star recruit.

He played in just 6.6 minutes per game as a freshman in Ann Arbor before transferring to Cal for his sophomore season.

That's when he really exploded, and now Pippen, the son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, is looking to capitalize on his status as one of the rising stars in college basketball.

He intends to hit the transfer portal, and he's going to be a big name to watch.

Justin Pippen played in all 32 games this season for Cal as a starter, averaging 14.2 points, 4.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game.

There were some efficiency concerns in his game, as he shot just 38% from the field. He made just over four of every 11 shots he averaged per game.

Justin Pippen also averaged just 33% from three-point range, which came to 1.7 made threes per game on just over five attempts averaged from downtown.

Still, Justin Pippen flashed the potential to be a big-time college basketball player, and we know elite hoops is in his blood.

As such, he'll absolutely be a hot target on the transfer portal.
