In his third season with the Arizona Wildcats, senior guard Caleb Love is heading back to the Sweet 16 for the first time since his Final Four run with RJ Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2022.
On Sunday, Love and No. 4 seed Arizona squeaked by former Pac-12 foe and No. 5 seed Oregon Ducks 87-83 in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Coming into the game, Love had tallied 2,698 points in his five-year college basketball career, per Sports Reference. Just over one minute into the game, Love scored Arizona's first two points off of a jump shot.
In doing so, Love becomes just the 31st player in men's college basketball history to record over 2,700 career points.

9 of Love's 11 shots have been 2-pointers. His season high for 2-point attempts is 10, done twice.
Love finished the win with 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting, nine rebounds and four assists. His total career points going into the Sweet 16 now sits at 2,727, moving him to 26th on the all-time scoring list, surpassing Davis (2,725).
Although he likely won't break the all-time scoring record held by LSU legend Pete Maravich (3,667 points), if Arizona continues its tournament run, Love could continue to move up the list. Former Marquette star Markus Howard sits one spot ahead of Love with 2,761 points.
Davis saw his college career end after No. 11 seed North Carolina's round two loss to the No. 6 seed Ole Miss Rebels, leaving him behind Love on the all-time scoring list permanently.
As for Love and Arizona, they will get a battle with Cooper Flagg and No. 1 seed Duke Blue Devils on Thursday in Newark, New Jersey. Love and UNC notably eliminated Duke during their Final Four run a few years ago.
