Cooper Flagg and the No. 1 seed Duke Blue Devils are looking to make a deep run in this year's NCAA Tournament. After going 31-3 and winning an ACC Tournament title, Jon Scheyer's program earned a No. 1 seed and will face off against No. 16 seed Mount St. Mary's in the Round of 64.

Flagg suffered an ankle injury in the Blue Devils' ACC Tournament quarterfinal win over Georgia Tech and has not played since. But on Thursday, Duke officially cleared their superstar freshman to play in Round 1.

Flagg is the ACC Player of the Year, a consensus First Team All-American and the presumed winner of the National Player of the Year award. Heading into Duke's NCAA Tournament campaign, the No. 1 overall recruit has more than lived up to expectations.

Former Duke star and current NBA guard Seth Curry recently shared some strong words of praise about the Blue Devils' freshman phenom.

"There’s a reason he came to Duke, came to college when, honestly, he didn’t really have to in the first place," Curry said, via Fox News Digital. "You go there to play in the ACC Tournament, you go there to play in March Madness and this is his time."

"I’m loving everything I’m seeing from him," Curry continued. "First of all, we had training camp at Duke, so I was able to see him practice a few times. Seeing just his competitiveness, it’s as good as it gets, especially from a young guy. He’s not afraid to go out there and take control, and his leadership has been good, too. You can tell from those practices.

"At his age, he’s wise beyond his years, and obviously, his skill set is unreal. He can do everything. So, he’s going to be that number one pick, like you said, and I think he’s going to have a great career."

Flagg and the Blue Devils will tipoff against Mount St. Mary's at 2:50 p.m. EST on Friday.
