The NBA has finalized its list of green room invitations for the 2025 draft, with five additional players receiving the coveted call this week, bringing the total to 24.
According to reports from ESPN’s Jonathan Givony and The Stein Line’s Jake Fischer, the league extended final invites to Joan Beringer (Cedevita Olimpija), Danny Wolf (Michigan), Nique Clifford (Colorado State), Walter Clayton (Florida), and Cedric Coward (Washington State).
The green room, reserved for prospects expected to be selected in the first round, is a strong indicator of league-wide expectations, though recent history reminds us that nothing is guaranteed. Just last year, Kyle Filipowski and Johnny Furphy spent draft night waiting longer than expected after getting the invite, ultimately sliding into the second round.
Here’s how the five newest names stack up on ESPN’s latest big board:
Joan Beringer, C, Cedevita Olimpija – No. 15
Danny Wolf, F/C, Michigan – No. 19
Nique Clifford, G/F, Colorado State – No. 22
Walter Clayton, G, Florida – No. 27
Cedric Coward, G/F, Washington State – No. 29
Wolf, in particular, is viewed as a potential late lottery pick after showcasing his perimeter shooting during workouts.
The list now includes 24 players, based on team polling that asks NBA franchises to name the 25 prospects they believe are most likely to be selected in the first round. That tally is expected to remain unchanged ahead of draft night.
Previously announced invitees include projected No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg (Duke), Dylan Harper (Rutgers), Ace Bailey (Rutgers), V.J. Edgecombe (Baylor), and Khaman Maluach (Duke), among others.
Also among the most recent additions was Noa Essengue, a French forward currently ranked No. 9 on ESPN’s board, who had not yet received an invite as of early June due to his ongoing playoff run with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany. With his team now eliminated, Essengue was officially added to the list along with Collin Murray-Boyles (South Carolina), Liam McNeeley (UConn), Will Riley (Illinois), Thomas Sorber (Georgetown), and Nolan Traore (France).
