No. 9 TCU beats No. 8 Ohio State

The Horned Frogs enter the tournament hot, winning eight of their last nine games behind a defense ranked 22nd in efficiency. They force turnovers, control the glass and create tough looks, which targets one of Ohio State’s biggest weaknesses. TCU has also thrived as an underdog this season. With momentum and a physical edge, the Frogs have a strong chance to move on.

No. 11 South Florida beats No. 6 Louisville

The Bulls enter the tournament on an 11-game winning streak after sweeping the American regular season and tournament titles. Their top-50 defense forces turnovers, limits efficient shooting and dominates the glass, creating extra possessions on both ends.

Louisville’s heavy reliance on three-point shooting can be risky on a neutral floor, and uncertainty around Mikel Brown Jr. adds another concern. With momentum and a physical edge, South Florida has a real shot to pull off the upset.

No. 11 VCU beats No. 6 North Carolina

The Rams enter the tournament on a six-game winning streak with depth, fresh legs and a defense that forces turnovers at a high rate. North Carolina is without star freshman Caleb Wilson, leaving a thinner rotation.

VCU can also stretch the floor and knock down 3s, a key formula for underdogs in March. With momentum and a balanced attack, the Rams have the tools to give the Tar Heels serious trouble and pull the upset.

No. 9 Saint Louis beats No. 8 Georgia

The Billikens are powered by Robbie Avila, who’s shooting 50.6% on 2s and 41.6% on 3-pointers, leading an efficient, balanced offense. They’ve also been strong defensively, ranking among the nation’s best in field-goal percentage defense. Georgia, meanwhile, has struggled on that end, allowing nearly 80 points per game. With efficiency on both sides, Saint Louis has a real shot to pull the upset.
