Dawn Staley, head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team, has a special request for one of her former players. After news broke that Bree Hall had signed with the Golden State Valkyries, Staley was quick to share a request to another alum who's on the team.

In a post congratulating Hall on X, Staley added a message for Laeticia Amihere as well. She wrote, "@_Theblackqueen_ take care of your @GamecockWBB sister!!! "

Amihere was signed to the Valkyries just about 10 days before Hall. The Valkyries announced the news on June 8, and said her first game with them would be against the Los Angeles Sparks on June 9. Amihere took part in the Valkyries' training camp. Her WNBA career began with the Atlanta Dream, where she played for two seasons and was in 38 games.

Amihere was a star forward for the Gamecocks, helping the team to three SEC regular season championships, three SEC tournament titles and three NCAA Final Four appearances. She was also the Gamecocks' first women's basketball player to compete in the Olympics while she was in college.

Amihere has already been posting excited messages on her Instagram Stories about Hall joining her team.

Hall had initially been drafted by the Indiana Fever, where she spent the preseason and played for 16 minutes against the Brazilian National Team in May, the Valkyries shared when announcing her signing. She will wear No. 21 for the Valkyries.

Staley once said that Hall was a very underrated player. During a pre-game press conference before the big Final Four showdown, Staley was asked if Breezy was an underrated defender.

"She's definitely underrated as a defender," Staley agreed. "I think our game sometimes looks at stats. She's not one that's going to steal the ball. She's one that's going to get your top score shooting at an inefficient clip. And that's her. That's her claim to fame."
