While Angel Reese didn't win Rookie of the Year in 2024, there's no denying that she had an incredible first season in the WNBA. Now, she's set for an even bigger year in the 2025 campaign, according to ESPN.
Reese averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.5 blocks and 2.2 turnovers per game in her rookie year, all while shooting 39.1 percent from the field.
The Sky forward made plenty of history in the process as well, including setting the WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles with 15. She also became the first rookie to put up a double-double in the All-Star Game, per ESPN.
Now, after an offseason that saw Reese play in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league and further work on her offensive game, ESPN predicts the Sky All-Star's numbers to improve—albeit slightly.
In its 2025 fantasy projections, ESPN sees Reese averaging 15.0 points, 13.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.4 turnovers, along with a 41.2 percent shooting clip.
The 23-year-old's rebounding projection, in particular, is expected to lead the WNBA.
It remains to be seen if Angel Reese will actually be able to reach those numbers, although the former LSU Tigers star has shown enough to give fans a reason to believe in her.
Not only did she work with WNBA legend Lisa Leslie to improve her postgame this offseason, but she also put up big numbers during her Unrivaled run. In the said competition, Reese averaged 13.3 points and 12.1 rebounds en route to becoming the Defensive Player of the Year.
In the Sky's preseason game against the Brazil women's national team, Reese recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in an 89-62 win.
