Notre Dame has added a veteran scorer from the women’s basketball transfer portal. Guard Iyana Moore has committed to the Fighting Irish after three seasons at Vanderbilt where she averaged 13.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists in her three seasons in Nashville.

Moore is the fourth player and second guard to commit to the Irish this offseason. She joins former Duke guard Vanessa de Jesus, former Wake Forest forward Malaya Cowles and former Kansas State forward Gisela Sanchez as new members of Niele Ivey’s upcoming 2025-2026 team.

Of those four players, Moore is the most proven scorer. The former 4-star recruit from Murfreesboro, Tenn averaged 12.7 points as a freshman in the 2021-2022 season when she started 17 games. She missed the entire 2022-23 season with injury but then averaged career-highs of 14.2 points and 3.5 rebounds while garnering second-team All-SEC honors with 33 starts as a sophomore the next season.

Moore averaged 12.4 points and 2.7 rebounds for the Commodores this past season in 31.0 minutes per game while making 30 starts. She made 65 of 189 (34.4%) 3-pointers this season after making 57 of 171 (33.3%) as a sophomore. She tallied 1,304 total points, 266 assists, 304 rebounds, and 134 steals in her three seasons on the court at Vandy.

Moore’s addition gives Ivey and the Irish seven scholarship players who are expected to be fully healthy in 2025-26. The backcourt includes two-time All-American and reigning ACC Player of the Year Hannah Hidalgo, KK Bransford, who missed all of last season with a leg injury, de Jesus and Moore. Sanchez and Cowles will be joined in the front court by incoming freshman Leah Macy, who injured her knee in the Kentucky state basketball tournament in February. Cassandre Prosper, a 6-3 guard, will give the Irish the versatility to play multiple positions.
