Hailey Van Lith's Dad Catches Attention For Behavior at NCAA Tournament

TCU Horned Frogs star Hailey Van Lith has arguably one of the better college basketball resumes without winning a national championship.

On Saturday, Van Lith advanced to her fifth Elite Eight after No. 2 seed TCU defeated No. 3 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish 71-62 in the Sweet 16.

Van Lith finished the day with 26 points, her best of the tournament, on 10-of-21 shooting, nine rebounds and four assists.

Van Lith's parent, Corey and Jessica, were in attendance for the game at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, but it was Corey who took social media by storm.

Corey was as hyped as anyone throughout the game. But after his daughter hit a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to increase TCU's lead, cameras panned to Corey, who was doing some sort of dance move as he walked down to NBA star Jalen Suggs, Hailey's boyfriend, for a high five, a scream and a chest bump. The ESPN commentator even had to ask, "Is that the robot?"

College basketball fans loved Corey Van Lith's gameday behavior, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.

"Hailey Van Lith dad is all of us right now," one fan said.

"Hailey Van Lith's dad is a mood," added another.

"Hailey Van Lith's dad celebrating her 3 with bf Jalen Suggs is absolute cinema," commented a third.

"Hailey Van Lith dad is killing me ," posted a fourth.

"He was hyped," wrote a fifth.

"I’d be actin the same way if my daughter torchin mfs in a Sweet Sixteen," added a sixth.

Like his daughter, Corey Van Lith also played basketball in college for the University of Puget Sound while playing for the baseball team. He has also worked as the strength coach for Hailey.

TCU will move on to the first Elite Eight in program history, facing the winner of No. 1 seed Texas and No. 5 seed Tennessee.
