USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark are two of the most prominent players in the women's basketball world, and their careers have become intertwined as a result of their next-level abilities.
Recently, Watkins surpassed the 1,000 career points mark two games faster than Clark did when she played with the Iowa Hawkeyes, prompting the SoCal star to open up on their relationship.
"You know Caitlin is a great player, but she's also a really good person, and I think when I first met her, she made herself available and we exchanged numbers and just was like whatever you need," Watkins said.
"She's just a really cool person, for sure was grateful for her kindness," Watkins continued.
Beyond their relationship on the court, Watkins recently became State Farm's second NIL signing, joining Clark and further merging their paths off the court as well.
"To be able to share that honor with her and be a part of the State Farm family, it means a lot," Watkins said of her new partnership.
The USC sophomore standout is the heir to Clark's college basketball throne, and having the two youngest and brightest stars in the sport forge such a positive relationship on and off the court signals a bright future for the women's game.
