The 2025 WNBA Draft was a night to remember for the USC Trojans. While JuJu Watkins, the face of USC women's basketball, wasn’t eligible for this year’s draft, she made sure to let her teammates know just how proud she was of them.

Watkins took to Instagram Stories on Monday night to celebrate two of her teammates who were selected during the event: forward Kiki Iriafen and center Rayah Marshall.

"Let’s gooooo! So proud of you, Kiks," she wrote over a photo of Iriafen.

"Connecticut got a dawggg!!!!" Watkins added a post celebrating Marshall’s selection.

Her messages came after Iriafen was picked fourth overall by the Washington Mystics—making her USC's highest WNBA draft pick since 1997. Per USA Today, the 6-foot-3 forward joined the Trojans after a standout stint at Stanford and left an instant impact on the court, averaging 18 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

In her lone season at USC, Iriafen helped the team secure a Big Ten title and reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.

Marshall, who was taken 25th overall by the Connecticut Sun, also left her mark on the program. A four-year player at USC, she averaged 10.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks over her career. Known for her hustle and defense, Marshall became only the eighth player in USC history to tally 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, according to Conneticut Sun.

Watkins’ support was more than just friendship—it was a nod to the legacy they built together. Despite her season ending early due to an ACL injury, Watkins remained a vocal leader off the court.

USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb has long emphasized developing not just skilled players, but strong teammates. Seeing Iriafen and Marshall achieve their dreams—and watching Watkins cheer them on—showcased the strength of the culture she’s built in Los Angeles.

As Watkins continues her recovery and eyes her own WNBA future, her words Monday night were a reminder: greatness lifts others up along the way.
