There's still beef between LSU and Iowa after NCAA title game

We're a couple of weeks removed from LSU's win over Iowa in the NCAA Tournament finals and there's still beef between the two teams.

Pork, more specifically.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds sent 1,250 pounds of pork to Louisiana food banks to pay off a bet she made with La. Governor John Bel Edwards before the game.

BRProud.com reports Bel Edwards personally received a dozen pork chops as well.

The Tigers and Hawkeyes played the most-watched women's college basketball game of all time, with many tuning in expecting to watch the coronation of Iowa guard Caitlin Clark. Instead, Tigers guard Jasmine Carson did her best Clark impression in the first half, hitting all five of her threes, including one off the glass as time expired in the first half, giving the Tigers a 59-42 lead at the half.

LSU went on to win the game 102-85, securing its first basketball national championship in school history.

A lot of the discourse afterward centered around tournament Most Outstanding Player Angel Reese briefly taunting Clark while celebrating her team's victory, but Clark herself admitted she had no beef with Reese when discussing the event on ESPN's "Outside the Lines."

Reese and Clark are returning in 2023 and are also eligible for the 2024-25 season. We'll hopefully get at least one more meeting between the two phenoms. We're definitely a lot hungrier for it now.
