The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.
Here's everything you need to know about Georgia safety Malaki Starks heading into the 2025 draft:
Height: 6-1
Weight: 205
Age: 21
A do-it-all playmaker on the back end for the Bulldogs, Starks lined up all over the field and made big things happen regardless of his responsibilities. He’s got the size and physicality to hang with tight ends and bigger receivers in man coverage, as well as the ability to survive in traffic down in the box against the run. His range, athleticism and instincts show up big-time in coverage, where he’s just as capable of patrolling center field as he is coming down into the slot and locking up opposing receivers on his own. Starks has impressive ball skills, and the length to break up would-be completions at the catch point, and he’s got a great feel for when to make a break on the ball.
It’s difficult to find any glaring flaws in Starks’ game, but if we’re digging for dirt on film, there are some instances where quicker receivers can give him a little trouble in man coverage when breaking off their routes and creating just enough separation to create a completion. That won’t get any easier in the NFL, but Starks has the overall athleticism to correct this with some slight technical tweaks.

Starks is the prototype for the modern NFL safety, with the ideal size for the position, and a fantastic blend of physical and mental traits.
