The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.

Here's everything you need to know about Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo heading into the 2025 draft:

Vitals

Height: 6-4

Weight: 245

Age: 21

Strengths

Looking the part of the modern NFL tight end, Arroyo has adequate size and athleticism for the position. He’s shown the ability to stretch the field on vertical routes up the seams, and he’s explosive enough to take short catches and pick up extra yardage when he’s given space. He shows strong hands and routinely snatches the ball out of the air, not letting it get into his chest and giving opposing defenders an opportunity to break up the pass. Arroyo can line up anywhere on the field, giving his offense a ton of versatility with formations because of his well-rounded skill set.

Weaknesses

The biggest red flag with Arroyo is medical, as he’s missed sizable chunks of multiple seasons with serious injuries. That could lead to questions about his long-term durability at the next level, and also gives pro scouts a limited sample size from which to draw conclusions about his on-field abilities. He’s a willing enough blocker, but he lacks the lower-body strength to consistently anchor against front-seven defenders or set a strong edge in the run game. While he can stretch the field vertically, Arroyo doesn’t have the elite straight-line speed or lateral explosiveness to create consistent separation down the field.

Final Analysis

There’s plenty of upside with Arroyo, but he’s still a boom-or-bust prospect thanks to his limited film and extensive injury history. He’s got the physical tools and versatility to be a productive player at the next level, but he’ll have to prove he can stay healthy and mitigate his lack of top-end speed and blocking power if he wants to be a major contributor to an NFL offense.
