Bell, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound field general out of American Heritage School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the highest-rated prospect in Steve Sarkisian's redoubtable 2026 Texas recruiting class. Bell, who chose the Horns over a list of college football bluebloods that included Alabama and Auburn, was named Florida's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2024, though the fanfare was muted by a leg injury that ended American Heritage's state championship dreams. All told for his junior season, he threw for nearly 2,600 yards alongside 29 passing touchdowns and five more on the ground.
