New Texas A&M Aggies head coach Mike Elko appears to have his staff complete, hiring the team's former defensive line analyst Tony Jerod-Eddie as the team's defensive line coach.

Jerod-Eddie will share his responsibilities with Sean Spencer, who was hired as the team's d-line coach last week.

Originally hired by Jimbo Fisher as an analyst in 2020, Jerod-Eddie was a standout defensive lineman during the Mike Sherman era in College Station from 2008-2011, earning honorable mention All-Big 12 Honors in 2011.

In his career with the Aggies, Jerod-Eddie had 147 tackles, seven sacks, five pass deflections, and a forced fumble.

He would eventually make his way to the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers from 2012-2016, totaling 69 tackles and an interception, and being part of a Niners team that made it to Super Bowl XLVII.

Jerod-Eddie eventually retired from the NFL after a bout with Lupus and worked in the league with the Denver Broncos before coming to Texas A&M.

While at Texas A&M, Jerod-Eddie was mentored by the late Terry Price and recent interim head coach Elijah Robinson before his departure for Syracuse.

Jerod-Eddie also helped coach former Aggie standouts such as Bobby Brown, Michael Clemons, DeMarvin Leal, and others.
