Alabama defensive lineman accepts invite to Senior Bowl after being cleared to play in Rose Bowl

Alabama football’s senior defensive lineman, LT Overton has accepted an invite to participate in the annual Panini Senior Bowl.

The veteran defender is expected to return to the field in the Rose Bowl when the Tide takes on Indiana.

Overton missed Alabama’s last two games with an ‘illness.’ Reports surfaced the defensive end would be cleared to play after Kalen DeBoer stated he could not rule Overton out earlier this week.

All signs now point to Overton thinking about his football career after he leaves the Tide. He will have an opportunity to build upon a solid draft stock in Mobile at the Senior Bowl’s practices and game. The game will take place on Jan. 31.

In the meantime, the disruptor has an opportunity to be a catalyst for a deep Alabama playoff run. The Tide will be back in action against Indiana in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
