Arch Manning debuts in a new NIL commercial as the Longhorns QB can likely earn millions in the coming years

Now that Arch Manning is headed for the starting job at Texas, the NIL deals are going to start rolling in.

Manning debuted in a new Instagram Reels spot for Red Bull on Thursday morning.

In a creative bit of camera work, the redshirt freshman appears to throw a football up into the air, sip some Red Bull, make the catch and throw the ball to a bull’s-eye target set off in the distance.

The message underneath the video said, “target locked, wiiings secured.”

Manning has been flying under the radar as far as NIL is concerned. Maybe that was out of deference to three-year starter Quinn Ewers. No need to do that any more. Ewers has declared for the NFL Draft, and the Longhorns are moving on with Manning as the team’s starter.

Ewers had a terrific NIL run during his time in Austin, serving as a spokesman for a TV lawyer, Dick’s Sporting Goods and clothing lines. Other companies will fall all over themselves trying to land Manning and latch on to arguably the most famous name in football.

The NIL money flowed to Ewers even before he played a single down of college football. Ewers admitted during the run-up to the Cotton Bowl that his family had a sizeable offer to attend Ohio State. It was reported to be $1.4 million.

Manning could command millions in NIL and another million or more from Texas when revenue sharing kicks in for the 2025-26 athletic year.

Manning will be draft eligible in April 2026, but the general feeling inside the Texas football building is that he will stay two more years with the Longhorns.

Expect to see his face all over the place in the coming months and possibly years.
