At Ole Miss, at Memphis, Notre Dame, at Tennessee, Texas A&M. It’s about to get nasty for that team over to the west, and if it doesn’t take this seriously, this could be fun.

Why Arkansas State Will Win

Again, the biggest advantage will be what’s next for the Hogs, along with recent Week 2 issues going 4-4 over the last eight years.

On the field, the Red Wolves have a quarterback. Jalen Raynor was fantastic in the 42-24 win over SE Missouri State, and the receiving corps is loaded - it only seems like Corey Rucker has been around for 14 years.

It’s not like the Arkansas secondary is a problem, but there are a few new parts still being tried out from the portal.

Why Arkansas Will Win

The Red Wolves might have an offense, but that defense is about to get stress-tested.

The pass rush didn’t do much of anything last year, the run defense was a wreck, and the hope is for the transfers to be ready to be great after just one game.

The Arkansas offense ripped up the passing game in Week 1. It was a scrimmage against an FCS team, but quarterback Taylen Green was razor-sharp, the ground game got going, and overall, the Hogs should be able to do what they want.

Get ready for a bit of a shootout.

Arkansas State has the firepower, Arkansas has more, and this should be a fun fight with the Hogs needing to keep their foot on the gas to stay comfortably ahead. They’ll get by, but it’ll be a bit stressful along the way.
