The transfer portal has become the place for schools to pick off talented, yet potentially unhappy, players.
Unhappy doesn't even have to be the phrase for it. For as wild as the transfer portal is and as detrimental as it may be to the overall college football landscape, it does easily allow players to get a fresh start and a change of scenery.
That's a good thing, a really good thing. That's exactly what former Alabama wide receiver Kobe Prentice is hoping for now that he's made his decision in the portal. He's leaving Tuscaloosa, where he spent the past three seasons, to what he hopes are greener pastures in Texas.
Prentice announced on Tuesday that he's committed to Baylor as a transfer.

Baylor head coach Dave Aranda is getting an experienced wideout in Prentice. He's caught 60 passes over the past three years in Tuscaloosa and turned those into 780 yards and five touchdowns.
Prentice was never a featured player at Alabama, so perhaps he'll be able to find a bigger role now that he's with the Bears. He's a former four-star recruit out of Calera, Alabama. He was ranked as the No. 12 overall wideout in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
