Ashton Jeanty and the Boise State Broncos took over the Mountain West in 2024, finishing the season with a 12-2 record and a 7-0 mark in the conference.

Following a Mountain West title and a loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions in the quarterfinal of the College Football Playoff, Jeanty had a decision to make.

The Heisman Trophy runner-up has been viewed as the No. 1 running back prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, but there was never a definitive answer on whether he would declare or not.

On Tuesday, Jeanty answered the call. He declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, posting the news on his Instagram.

"Broncos 4L," Jeanty captioned the post.

Jeanty finished the 2024 college football season with one of the greatest stat lines from a running back in the history of the sport.

In his third season as a consistent contributor for the Broncos, Jeanty recorded 29 touchdowns and 2,601 yards on the ground. He also added one touchdown and 138 yards through the air.

As this marks the end of his college career, Jeanty totaled 50 rushing touchdowns, 4,769 rushing yards, six receiving touchdowns and 862 receiving yards.

In his final season at the collegiate level, Jeanty had a chance to break the single-season rushing record but fell just short of a historic feat. Jeanty was 28 yards short of passing Barry Sanders for the single-season rushing record.

Sanders holds the record at 2,628 rushing yards during the 1988 college football season.
