The Oklahoma Sooners made the College Football Playoff for the first time under Brent Venables, but squandered a 17-point lead against Alabama in the opening round, thus ending their season.

As they prepare to make another run in 2026 with a healthy John Mateer at quarterback, they have made it a point to pursue wide receivers in the transfer portal. A development that isn't too surprising, considering they are expected to lose pass catchers Deion Burks and Jaren Kanak to the NFL, and have already lost six others to the transfer portal.

The Sooners landed Virginia transfer Trell Harris, but their Tuesday addition certainly irked their biggest rival.

As announced on social media, the Sooners landed Texas wide receiver transfer Parker Livingstone.

"Boomer☝️," wrote Livingstone on X.

The now-former Longhorns and roommate of Texas quarterback Arch Manning has had quite the controversial exit. When he first announced his intentions to transfer, Livingstone indicated that he was forced to leave the program.

However, multiple reporters came out and said that he demanded more NIL money than Texas was willing to pay him.

The redshirt freshman hauled in 29 catches for 510 yards and six touchdowns, with his best game coming against San Jose State. In the Week 2 victory, the 6-foot-4 receiver racked up four catches for 128 yards and two scores.

Needless to say, next year's Red River Rivalry may have even more juice than normal, as Texas fans and players may no longer be cheering for the former Longhorn.

Once a three-star recruit and No. 106 wide receiver in the country, 247Sports ranked Livingstone as the No. 68 player in the transfer portal and No. 16 wide receiver.
