Prince Avenue Christian School defensive lineman Christian Garrett had a quick rise to the national spotlight. He held offers from a few mid-major programs heading into his sophomore season, but after that season, his recruitment exploded. He's now up to 21 offers, highlighted by some of the top programs in the country.
Garrett ranks as the No. 118 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He tallied 86 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and five sacks during his junior season. Garrett narrowed his recruitment to seven schools on Thursday, a batch highlighted by SEC suitors. Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and USC made the first cut for Garrett. He went in-depth on why he likes the Vols with On3's Chad Simmons - Garrett has visited them thrice.
"Tennessee has made me feel like a priority since I camped there last summer. I have been building a good relationship with Coach Josh Heupel and Coach Rodney Garner. They do a great job of checking up on me each week."
He confirmed to Simmons that he will take five official visits this summer before deciding sometime ahead of his senior season. Garrett has locked in official visits with Clemson and Georgia, and Tennessee is a contender to get one of those five spots.
