College football Week 7 is here, so it’s time to take a look at the odds board and see what kind of value we can find before lines move this week.

Action Network senior writer Collin Wilson has come through with a pick in a matinee battle between two ACC squads.

Let’s dive into Wilson’s college football picks and NCAAF predictions for Week 7 below.

Pitt vs Florida State Odds

Worst-case scenario: A quarterback change for Pitt against Boston College may have rerouted the direction of the season for the Panthers.

Eli Holstein started the season as Pitt’s quarterback and led the Panthers to a 2-2 start, but continually dragged the offense into mistakes.

Holstein had executed 10 turnover-worthy plays and doubled his big-time throws before a Week 6 replacement by Mason Heintschel.

The freshman went berserk on the Boston College defense, dicing up the Cover 1 secondary for four touchdowns and three big-time throws. To top it all off, he didn’t commit a turnover-worthy play through 14 drop-backs with pressure.

Now, Pittsburgh heads into hostile territory against Florida State, a team reeling off a non-cover loss in Week 6.

The Seminoles have now lost two ACC games in a row, allowing eight explosives and six passing touchdowns to Virginia and Miami.

Although Florida State runs primarily Quarters, a low coverage grade outside of the top 100 comes in pass rush and coverage.

Florida State will combat with inside zone from quarterback Tommy Castellanos and running back Gavin Sawchuk.

Pitt has been elite against inside zone read concepts, posting a 61% success rate while allowing an explosive play on just one of every 20 attempts. Head coach Pat Narduzzi’s defense is top-five nationally in line yards, pass rush and stuff rate.

The Action Network Power Ratings project this game at Florida State -5.5, giving market value to any number above a touchdown.

Pick: Pitt +9.5 or better
