Suffice it to say, the Colorado Buffaloes were beaten pretty handily by Oregon in Week 4. Deion Sanders' team was no match for the Bo Nix or the Ducks defense as they were handed their first loss of the season by a 42-6 margin.
Prior to that game, Coach Prime's rejuvenated Buffs had improved to 80-1 longshots to win the national college football championship game following their 3-0 start to the 2023 season. Just how much did their first loss of the season impact those odds?

Following Saturday's loss in Eugene, DraftKings now lists Colorado as a 250-1 longshot to win this year's CFB championship. There is no word yet on whether or not the Buffs are still the most bet-on team in college football, although major outlets are already looking elsewhere as ESPN didn't even list them in their power rankings following the loss at Autzen Stadium.
Shedeur Sanders and company have a chance to get back into the win column and improve their odds, although that will be difficult in Week 5 against No. 8 USC. The 3-0 Trojans are coming off of a haphazard 42-28 win against Arizona State, although they were still propelled by Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, who recorded 322 yards and three TDs with an additional two rushing scores. USC's defense isn't as stealthy as Oregon's, so Sanders could have a slightly easier time under center in Week 5, but the Trojans will still be hard to beat.
Speaking of which, USC is currently listed at 16-1 odds at DK to win the national college football championship game. They are also the 22-point favorites to win Saturday's game.
