With the current recruiting calendar in college football, the month of June is among the most important of the year when it comes to building out your class. For Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks, a long list of the best 5-star players in the 2026 class will be coming through Eugene over the next month on official visits, with many of them strongly considering the Ducks.
While all of that is on the forefront, starting this Friday, Lanning and his staff gave Oregon fans a bit of an appetizer over the last 24 hours, landing a pair of huge commitments in the class of 2027.
On Sunday night, it was announced that 4-star EDGE Prince Tavizon was committing to Oregon from San Diego's Lincoln High School. Tavizon is rated as the No. 76 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 13 EDGE in the nation. He chose the Ducks over the likes of the USC Trojans, Texas A&M Aggies, and California Golden Bears.
Less than 24 hours after that commitment, the Ducks landed another pledge from 2027 4-star EDGE Cameron Pritchett, the No. 170 player and No. 21 edge rusher in the class.
With the two additions, Oregon now has the No. 6 ranked recruiting class in the 2027 cycle, and will look to continue to build on that over the next several months.
Meanwhile, the big focus over the next few weeks will be the 2026 class, and adding some big names to the mix. Oregon currently has the No. 27 class in the cycle, and they've missed on a couple of high-profile players like 5-star QB Jared Curtis and 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell over the last few weeks.
However, the Ducks will host the likes of 5-star QB Ryder Lyons and 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho this month, both of whom they are considered the favorites to land.
