The Colorado Buffaloes had a standout season in Deion Sanders' second year as head coach, with much of the success stemming from the roster and culture he has built—especially with his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, at the helm.
Yet, Shedeur is expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft after Colorado’s bowl game later this month, and with draft talk intensifying, many are speculating about where he will land.
However, some of the speculation took a turn on Saturday when a media platform called "NFL Rookie Watch" reported that Shedeur Sanders is "prepared" to be drafted by either the Las Vegas Raiders or the Dallas Cowboys.
The platform also suggested that there is a "high likelihood" Sanders would refuse to play for the New York Giants or the Cleveland Browns if either team were to select him, drawing a parallel to Eli Manning’s infamous refusal to play for the San Diego Chargers after being selected in 2004.
Deion Sanders quickly responded to the rumors, calling out the page for spreading false information. He made it clear that the reports were not true, defending his son and setting the record straight.
"A Lie don’t care who tells it. Please stop trying to become relevant by misrepresenting my son. God bless you." Deion said.

Deion Sanders has been outspoken in the past about wanting his son Shedeur and standout player Travis Hunter to land in the right situations at the next level.
However, he’s never publicly singled out specific teams where Shedeur would refuse to play, which is why the recent claims caught the attention of the former NFL superstar and current collegiate coach.
Shedeur Sanders is widely regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft class, and several teams are believed to be in the mix for his services. Among the teams that could potentially select him are most likely the Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants, and Cleveland Browns.
There’s also speculation about teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, and some even believe the Dallas Cowboys could be in the running—though that still seems unlikely.
