The Colorado Buffaloes have begun preparing for the 2025 season during the early stages of spring, and, as expected, everything continues to revolve around head coach Deion Sanders, who has brought new life to the program.
Sanders has remained in the spotlight over the past few weeks—whether it's his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, chasing their NFL dreams or his growing list of business ventures, including a major upcoming partnership with Netflix.
“Deion 'Prime Time' Sanders” is coming to Netflix in 2026, but on Sunday, he made another major announcement: the iconic black-and-white Nike Diamond Turf '93 cleats are being re-released. The retro cleats are set to drop on May 29 with a retail price of $220.

Sanders famously wore the Diamond Turf cleats throughout his NFL career. This marks the first time they’re being re-released in years, a tribute to his legendary 14-year career in the league—one that also included a stint in Major League Baseball.
Over his NFL tenure, Sanders played for five franchises, most notably the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys, and became known as one of the most electrifying two-sport athletes in history.
Sanders has six signature Nike Air Diamond Turf models and is also well-known for the Air DT Max ’96, which he helped turn into a lifestyle sneaker. His cleats have been worn by countless NFL stars over the years, and in 2024, Nike even released a special colorway of the Diamond Turf line specifically for Buffalo Bills MVP quarterback Josh Allen.
Fans reacted to Sanders iconic cleats being released by Nike:
"Love em …. But if I’m being honest .. them DT-96s is hard to beat," a fan said.
"Had those when I was a kid," another fan posted.
Someone else added, "Was & still my favorite athlete of all time."
One more fan commented, "These are . When you see me rocking these to get lemons from HEB.. mind ya business.."
