Deion Sanders Makes Change To Colorado's Coaching Staff For 2025

After briefly considering the NFL's Dallas Cowboys as his next destination, Deion Sanders is back to business at Colorado. 2025 is set to be a big year for the Buffaloes program, and Sanders is at the center of what's to come.

Sanders' sons Shedeur and Shilo are moving on to the NFL after their college careers, as is Heisman trophy winner Travis Hunter. Colorado football will look a lot different than what fans may be used to after the last two seasons, but Sanders and his program will look to continue their positive momentum.

Defensive ends coach Vincent Dancy and offensive line coach Phil Loadholt each left Colorado this offseason to join the staff at Mississippi State in the SEC. Sanders has already identified Loadholt's replacement, and it's a rare internal move for Sanders in the offseason.

Sanders announced that he would be promoting offensive quality control analyst Gunnar White to the role of offensive line coach, a position group that needs a serious overhaul going forward at Colorado.

The Colorado offensive line allowed 43 sacks last season, good for 124th in the country. They added a top recruit to bolster the line in Jordan Seaton, but their struggles as a unit continued with a true freshman making several starts on the line.

Colorado added one of the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2025, securing a commitment from Julian Lewis. Lewis is expected to compete with Liberty transfer and veteran Kaidon Salter for the starting quarterback position, putting the team in great hands as they transition out of the Shedeur Sanders era.

Deion was unable to lead Colorado to a bowl victory against BYU in the Alamo Bowl, but Colorado was on of the true success stories in the sport last season. Many doubted if Deion would be able to find his way at Colorado, but the program is now thriving with better players, and Sanders can be considered one of the country's best recruiters.

We'll see what the future holds for Deion and the rest of Colorado, but he's filling out his 2025 staff ahead of a truly pivotal season for the program out in Boulder.
