On Monday, the East-West Shrine Bowl released their preseason watchlist, which included 1,000 of the top 2026 NFL Draft prospects. When the rosters get set after the upcoming season, that list will get whittled down to over 100 of the top players in the country. The Shrine Bowl is one of the top two All-Star games for the draft process, and gives prospects a great opportunity to showcase their talents in front of scouts from all 32 NFL teams down in Frisco, Texas.

As the general public gets to know the 2026 class, everyone is going to begin to marvel at some of the top athletes in the group. We become fascinated by the raw size, athletic skills, and productivity that the entirety of the class possesses. Most also love the backstories that some players in the classes can bring, or the fun little tidbits of information that become uncovered. When scanning these types of lists, what typically gets brought up first?

That’s right, cool names! Of the 1,000 prospects mentioned, there is a long list of players who deserve a place on the Shrine Bowl All-Name team. Here are some of the cooler names on that list, including some fun nicknames like Hollywood, Squirrel, and Bear, along with some even cooler family names

QB - Maverick McIvor, Western Kentucky

RB - Hollywood Smothers, NC State

RB - Jam Miller, Alabama

WR - Skyler Bell, UConn

WR - Griffin Wilde, Northwestern

TE - Lawson Luckie, Georgia

OL - Walter Young Bear, West Virginia

An offense led by a quarterback named Maverick? Sign me up.

You could even argue the defensive class might have an even cooler group of names. That includes Cincinnati defensive tackle Dontay Corleone. If that name wasn't cool enough, Corleone's nickname is also the Godfather. His game is even better than that nickname as well.

Here is the rest of the defensive All-Name team.
