“First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to the man above for granting me the gift and capacity to persevere and push myself every day and the chance to pursue the goals I’ve been dreaming of my entire life,” Revel Jr. wrote. “After an incredible journey at East Carolina, I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
“I am grateful for my family for their love and sacrifices, for my coaches for their guidance and belief, and for my teammates who have been like brothers on and off the field,” continued Revel Jr.. ” Pirate Nation, thank you for your unwavering energy and support every game. Representing ECU is an honor and look forward to continuing to do so on Sundays!”
Revel Jr. appeared in just three games this season for the Pirates due to a season-ending injury in a practice with a torn ACL. In those outings of his final year as a senior, he totaled eight tackles, two interceptions with one being a pick-six, and a pair of deflections.
While in Greensville for three years, Revel Jr. made 24 appearances. Over half of those were starts for him over the past two years. Overall, he posted 71 tackles, eight deflections, a sack, and three interceptions with that one 50-yard score from this season.
Prior to ECU, Revel Jr. spent a pair of seasons with Louisburg College.
Despite the torn ACL, Revel Jr. has remained one of the top prospects in the entire upcoming draft per mocks and big boards throughout this season. That included an updated board from Mel Kiper Jr. on Thursday where he was the No. 23 overall player. He was the third defensive back selected behind only Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Michigan’s Will Johnson, and Georgia S Malaki Starks.
