Eli Manning Has Major Praise for Texas QB Arch Manning

Everybody knows by now that Arch Manning comes from football royalty. The Texas Longhorns quarterback is set to take over as Steve Sarkisian's starter, and Manning's uncle, Eli, believes that he's set himself up for success.

"Arch has done a great job on just how he's handled (his) first two years," Eli Manning said, quoted in a post on X from On3's Inside Texas. "He's earned the respect of his teammates, his coaches, through his hard work, his dedication. He asks me great questions."

Arch Manning grew up watching Eli and his other uncle, Peyton, compete at the highest level. Both uncles won a pair of Super Bowls, but the youngest Manning can boast about being the most athletic.

"I watched them growing up, and they're actually faster than you'd think," Arch Manning said on an episode of "Broadcast Boys" in January. "I remember in seventh grade, I went and worked out with Eli, and it was kind of neck and neck. They are faster than you'd think, but, I think by high school, I was faster."

Many expect Arch Manning to be one of the best passers in the country this season, which starts for the Longhorns on the road against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Manning made two starts last season, but neither will come close to the level of difficulty he'll face in Columbus.

With his propensity to carry the ball, Manning gives Sarkisian an extra wrinkle in his offense. Julian Sayin is in the running to be the starter for Ohio State.
