Elite 4-Star Quarterback Has Clear Message for Brian Kelly and LSU After His Official Visit

Four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley went on his official visit to the Brian Kelly-led LSU Tigers on Monday.

Bentley, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound player, has a warm relationship with the Tigers and the Oklahoma Sooners, according to his 247sports profile. Bentley seemed pleased with his visit to LSU, which he said “went really well.”

The profile also states he has “cool” relationships with the Arizona Wildcats, Boston College Eagles, California Golden Bears, Cincinnati Bearcats, Duke Blue Devils and Colorado Buffaloes.

Bentley also holds offers from East Carolina, Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas State, Ohio State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Tulane, UCF, USF, UTEP, UTSA, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. The profile states he has no relationship status with Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Colorado State, North Texas and Sam Houston, which gave him offers.

His name, image and likeness (NIL) value is $500,000, according to his On3 player profile. Bentley threw for 3,211 yards and 47 touchdowns with seven interceptions with Celina High School in Texas this season. He also rushed for 923 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Bentley competed in events such as the Elite 11 Finals and the Navy All-American Bowl to showcase his talents. He also led the Celina Bobcats to a 16-0 record and the Texas 4A D-1 State championship victory over the Kilgore Bulldogs, 55-21, on Dec. 20 in AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Bentley was named the game's offensive MVP because he completed 9 of 14 passes for 265 yards and five touchdowns with zero interceptions, according to Amarillo.com writer Jonathan Hull. Bentley is also expected to visit Oklahoma on Friday. The Sooners have the No. 17 recruiting class in the nation, while LSU is at No. 10.
