An experienced tight end is headed to Morgantown. Iowa transfer tight end Johnny Pascuzzi committed to join Rich Rodriguez and the WVU football program on Monday.

After starting his college career as a walk-on, Pascuzzi appeared in 22 games in four years for Iowa as mostly as blocking tight end and on special teams. He made a couple receptions for 41 yards, 40 of which came on one play. He entered the transfer portal on Dec. 3.

Pascuzzi, who has one year left of eligibility, now becomes the second transfer tight end for West Virginia this cycle, joining Jacob Barrick.

Barrick, who followed Rodriguez from Jacksonville State, made six receptions for 70 yards in six games for the Gamecocks in 2024.

In high school as a 2022 prospect at Martinsburg High School, Barrick played both offense and defense as an edge rusher. He was a first team all-state selection as a senior. Barrick made 38 receptions for 644 yards and scored seven touchdowns, averaging 16.95 yards per reception. He also caught four two-point conversion attempts.
