Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on May 5 and is the top recruit in the state of Tennessee, per 247Sports composite rankings. He's also the top quarterback recruit in the country and the fourth-ranked recruit in the nation, regardless of position.
This game will be a battle of two 6-1 teams as they try to stay in contention for the SEC title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Curtis will be at the game but wants everyone to know that he is still committed to the Bulldogs, who don't play on Saturday anyway.
“I’m just going down there to watch the game with my coaches and a teammate that’s looking at Vanderbilt,” Curtis told On3's Hayes Fawcett. “It’ll be a fun time. At the end of the day, I’m still a Bulldog.”
He may get to see a good game between the Tigers and Commodores since they're both ranked in the top 15 of the AP poll. It's set to start at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Curtis, at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, first pledged to Georgia in March 2024 before decommitting and reopening his recruitment that October. After re-committing in May, Curits has become one of Georgia’s most vocal recruiters.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are also 6-1 and are coming off an emotional win at home over the Ole Miss Rebels last Saturday. They came from behind to beat them 43-35.
The Bulldogs will be off this week before playing the Florida Gators in Jacksonville on Nov. 1. The Gators are fresh off firing Billy Napier and are 3-4 going into that game.
