Wide receiver has been a crucial position group for the Florida Gators over the last few week on the recruiting trail.

Head coach Billy Napier has been working hard at the position with four-star recruits Calvin Russell and Davian Groce set to visit campus over the next six weeks. They will also get a visit from four-star wide receiver Brandon Bennett.

The Gators also found out that they landed in Bennett's top-three with the (likely last chance to make a big impression before he makes his commitment.

Gators make four-star WR Brandon Bennett's top three

Bennett is the 41st-ranked wide receiver in the nation per the On3 Industry Ranking and the 36th-ranked player in the state of Florida. He's a talented player at 6'0, 165 lbs who has a high opinion of the Gators.

“Everything is going great,” Bennett said. “I have an OV set up (at Florida) for June 13, so everything is good. It’s just my relationship with (wide receivers) coach Billy G(onzales), my positional coach, and the standard coach (Billy) Napier holds his team to.

“My family speaks very highly of Florida,” Bennett said. “Coach Billy G is a great guy and he shows how much he wants me. Sometimes we don’t even talk about football. We’re just building a relationship and that’s one of the biggest things.”

It's no surprise that the Gators have a really good relationship with Bennett. He's been on campus three times already with an official visit scheduled on June 13th. He's only made three visits to Miami and one more to Florida State, scheduled for June 6th.]

Here's where things get really interesting. On3 Sports' Recruiting Prediction Machine has Miami with an 87.7% prediction to land Bennett, but they didn't make his top three. Luckily for the Gators, they are in second at a whopping 6.9%.

Having the last scheduled official visit with Bennett could be a huge factor in his decision.
