The Florida Gators have signed 15 players to letters of intent on Wednesday on the first of three days during the early signing period.
There are three other commitments who didn't sign on Wednesday, but are still trending toward signing with the Gators.
Hall has been planning on signing on Friday, while Hester (Iowa) and Aumua (Washington and Auburn) could be swayed before they end up signing.
The biggest win for the Gators was being able to keep the recruiting class together after firing head coach Billy Napier back in October. New head coach Jon Sumrall and the coaching staff as a whole have done a great job in maintaining the class. Of the 19 recruits that committed to Napier before he was let go, 15 of them signed, three are likely to sign, and four-star running back Carsyn Baker decommitted, but is still considering the Gators.
It's an impressive job for the Gators, but there is still work to be done. They will need at least one or two more players on the defensive line, depth at running back, and potentially a linebacker and safety. Sumrall has proven in his short time that he's up for the challenge, and there is going to be a lot of work to do moving forward.
As things sit right now, they hold the 13th-ranked class per Rivals and it's a really big win for the Gators, who have a shocking amount of talent for a 4-8 team.
