For the first time in three seasons, the Florida Gators took a significant step forward last year, winning their final four games, highlighted by a lopsided win against the Tulane Green Wave in the Gasparilla Bowl. The eight wins secured by Florida were their most since 2020, their second-to-last under  Billy Napier's predecessor, Dan Mullen

Florida's strong end to the 2024 season continues to pay dividends for the Gators, with Napier's squad making tracks on the recruiting trail this weekend. On Saturday, Florida received a hard commitment from 2026 four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy.

McCoy commits to Florida while also holding offers from the LSU Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, Texas Longhorns, USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks, Oklahoma Sooners, Missouri Tigers, and Penn State Nittany Lions, among others. He is the 16th-ranked defensive lineman in the 2026 class per 247Sports.

As a junior at Tupelo High School in Mississippi, McCoy tallied 30 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, four quarterback hurries, and 1.5 sacks. He also earned significant varsity reps as a sophomore and freshman, collecting 114 tackles, 32 TFLs, and 17 sacks during that stretch.

McCoy joins a 2026 class that is ranked 28th by 247Sports. Florida is amid a strong recruiting run since the start of June. Alongside McCoy, Florida added Justin Williams, Carsyn Baker, Chancellor Campbell, Kaiden Hall, Kekua Aumua, and G'Nivre Carr in the past two weeks.

Daniel owns the highest grade, ranking as a fringe five-star wide receiver prospect listed at six feet five inches and 195 pounds.
