Former Alabama wide receiver throws hat in the ring to be Tide’s next wideout coach

Former Alabama football wide receiver, Marquis Maze feels it’s time some Alabama blood returns to Tuscaloosa to coach Tide wide receivers.

“Alabama football it’s time to hire me & Julio (Jones), him as the head Wr coach and me as the assistant wr coach. Draw up the contract and let’s get the ball rolling. Roll Tide,” Maze posted to X.

Maze played wide receiver for the Crimson Tide from 2008 to 2011.

Alabama is expected to be looking for a new wide receiver coach after JaMarcus Shephard reportedly agreed to a five-year deal to become Oregon State’s next head coach.
