Former BYU linebacker Harrison Taggart visited Deion Sanders and Colorado Buffaloes on Monday. The No. 7 linebacker available in the transfer portal could fill a tremendous hole for the Big 12 rival.

Colorado has lost several players to the transfer portal lately and could use Taggart's experience in the heart of the defense. The 6-foot-2 defender entered the portal on April 21 after a breakout season with the Cougars.

A former four-star recruit, Taggart started his college career with Oregon before transferring to BYU, where he redshirted his freshman season. He had a standout season racking up 69 tackles along with a sack, three pass breakups and an interception. Taggart had two games with double-digit tackles against Oklahoma State and Kansas State.

Colorado isn't the only one pursuing Taggart. According to his social media posts, Taggart has visited NC State and Cal recently and will make a decision soon.

BYU beat Colorado 36-14 in last year's Alamo Bowl. Taggart had four tackles and his only sack of the season on Shedeur Sanders. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
