On Thursday afternoon, the college football world learned that Georgia quarterback Carson Beck was entering the transfer portal. Less than 24 hours later, he reportedly chose his next school.

Beck initially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after suffering a season-ending UCL injury in the SEC Championship Game. After receiving feedback from scouts, he made the decision to enter the transfer portal. Pete Nakos of On3 mentioned Ohio State, Texas Tech and Miami as suitors for the talented quarterback. He did note that Miami was the overwhelming favorite. Well, his sources weren't wrong.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, the Miami Hurricanes have won the sweepstakes for Beck.

"Georgia transfer quarterback Carson Beck has committed to Miami, with an announcement of his commitment expected soon. Beck, a two-year starter for the Bulldogs with a 24-3 career record, will succeed Heisman Trophy finalist Cam Ward there," Thamel said.

Beck will get to attend the same university as his girlfriend, Miami basketball player Hanna Cavinder. Fans are convinced that's why he's committing to the Hurricanes.

During the 2024 season, Beck completed 64.7 percent of his passes this season for 3,485 yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He was considered a potential Day 1 prospect heading into the fall, but his stock took a hit.

If Beck shines at Miami, he could rebuild his draft stock while competing for an ACC championship. That's not a bad situation.

Beck won't be ready to compete this spring for Miami. ESPN reported that he'll be good to go once summer camp rolls around though.
