Former Tennessee Vols wide receivers coach Kodi Burns is reportedly heading back to college football.
Burns was a member of Josh Heupel's inaugural coaching staff at Tennessee, serving as the Vols' wide receivers coach in 2021.
USF announced on Tuesday afternoon that Burns has been hired as the program's new wide receivers coach.
Burns will be reunited at USF with former Vols offensive coordinator Alex Golesh, who left Tennessee to take over as the head coach in Tampa after the 2022 season.
We've named Kodi Burns as our Co-Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach and Wide Receivers Coach.

Burns, who is a former Auburn quarterback/wide receiver, left Rocky Top after the 2021 season to become the New Orleans Saints' wide receivers coach.
The former Tennessee assistant was let go in New Orleans by head coach Dennis Allen (who has since been fired by the Saints) ahead of the 2024 season.
