Former Tennessee Vols defender goes viral for poorly timed celebration during Louisville's upset win over Miami

Louisville scored a touchdown on the next play via a one-yard touchdown run by quarterback Miller Moss.

Jakobe Thomas has been excellent for the Miami Hurricanes

Thomas, despite his viral premature celebration, is having a great season for the Hurricanes.

The former Vol has 22 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception so far this season (Thomas nearly had another interception in Miami's loss to Louisville).

One of Tennessee's biggest defensive weaknesses this season has been at the safety position. There's no doubt the Vols could've used Thomas this season.

Thomas grew up rooting for Tennessee, which is why his decision to transfer after last season was perplexing. But the move seems to be paying off for him as he's played extremely well for the Hurricanes this fall.
