Georgia DL trolled FSU on Instagram Live during Orange Bowl blowout

If a 63-3 Orange Bowl beatdown wasn't embarrassing enough for No. 5 Florida State, Georgia defensive lineman Warren Brinson rubbed salt in the wound before the final whistle sounded.

Last season, the Bulldogs chowed down on hot wings during the College Football Playoff National Championship, but Brinson may have surpassed that disrespectful gesture. With time remaining on the clock, Brinson went live on Instagram from the sidelines, setting the scene without saying a word.

Brinson's shaking head perfectly summed up the Orange Bowl carnage.

FSU's failure to qualify for CFP despite finishing the season undefeated led to a lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference. The messiness prompted many Seminoles starters to opt out of Saturday's game, but with Georgia also missing several players, the excuse of being short-handed held little weight, as FSU probably didn't stand a chance even at full strength.

The players who did start for the Bulldogs overwhelmed FSU early before giving way to backups who continued the dominance. Sometimes, the score doesn't tell the entire story, which was the case in the Orange Bowl.

By halftime, the game was out of reach, with Georgia leading 42-3 en route to a 60-point win. Overall, the Bulldogs held FSU to only 11 first downs while running away with the total yardage battle, 673-209.

To say the contest was laughable would be an understatement. At the same time, it speaks to a more significant issue regarding the future of bowl games, with the CFP here to stay. As bowl games continue to mean less and less, we're bound to see more mass opt-outs from teams in similar situations to FSU's. However, it doesn't let them off the hook.

Whether Florida State feels the Playoff snub was unjust or not, no program worthy of a spot would be proud of the kind of performance seen on Saturday.
